Description

The two core departments within the Faculty of Celtic Studies at Cork are the department of Early and Medieval Irish, and the department of Modern Irish. Two main degree programmes are offered: BA Irish and BA Celtic Civilisation. At least one module from the Early & Medieval Irish Department must be taken in both second and third year of the BA in Modern Irish. A Masters degree may also be taken in Modern Irish. Scottish Gaelic is offered as an option at this level. Students may also progress to doctoral research.
